Glow (2019) by award-winning artist Zoran Poposki FRSA is a series of post-digital paintings on canvas combining analogue and digital technologies of production, utilizing post-digital printmaking to expand the practice and field of the contemporary painter.
The paintings in the series feature Poposki's signature post-pop art fluorescent-coloured vocabulary of elements mined from various cultural traditions, in a complex work of cultural translation exploring a vast multitude of theoretical research and art history references, from the Renaissance paintings of Sandro Botticelli and Albrecht Durer to classical Chinese textile art, and from the legend of Cupid and Psyche to David Hockney.
Artwork from the series selected in Premio Combat Prize 2020 (Recommended Artist from Jury) in Italy.
