Glow by award-winning artist Dr Zoran Poposki FRSA presents a series of post-digital paintings on canvas combining analogue and digital technologies of production, expanding the practice and field of contemporary painting by utilizing post-digital printmaking and Augmented Reality (AR). The paintings in the series feature Dr Poposki's signature post-pop art fluorescent-coloured vocabulary of elements mined from various cultural traditions, in a complex work of cultural translation exploring a vast multitude of theoretical research and art history references, from the Renaissance paintings of Sandro Botticelli and Albrecht Durer to classical Chinese textile art, and from the legend of Cupid and Psyche to David Hockney.
